This film is part of a series of WWII films I’ve added to this website. I’ve added them simply because they demonstrated many of the basics that still apply today.
In addition to the gardening the film also shows wartime recipes and preservation techniques that kept the wolf from the door.
I no longer subscribe to all the ideas shown, though they work in many cases. Today I advocate No Dig, but that’s not so say these videos have no value. They teach basic practices that I believe all gardeners should understand.
