Where I live in East Devon poor management of the clifftops grasslands has allowed Alexanders (Smyrnium olustratum) to became invasive. Our local problem is the result of ignoring EDRR and cutting the plant AFTER it had seeded. The result has been widespread expansion of plant numbers that are competing with other grassland plants, insects and other wildlife. If only more people would pick some to eat. Because it is a plant that is totally edible.
