Fruit are the seed-bearing structure in flowering plants formed from the ovary after flowering.

There are a significant number of fruit that can be grown in the U.K. garden, from apples and pears to lemon and tomatoes (yes tomatoes are also fruit). Some are easy to grow, some crop better every other year and some grow despite common sense telling they will not survive in our climate. For example, lemons are not normally grown in the U.K. but can survive and even thrive in milder parts of the country.
