Stefan has a practical no nonsense approach to gardening, obviously based on many years of experience in horticulture, and particularly vegetable growing. No question is too trivial or basic for him to give an answer which explains in simple terms what new gardeners need to know, while providing more in depth information for more experienced growers. I find his approach down to earth, (no pun intended), while his knowledge of the growing of fruit and vegetables is extensive. He is never afraid to say if he isn't familiar with a particular topic, but always has some relevant facts to pass on.

Having moved to Devon I have for the first time had a fairly large garden to tend. As a novice I joined this group thinking I would just read the tips and hints on growing fruit and vegetables. However I have asked questions, sought advise and been guided without any hesitation from the group members and Stephan. I am so very pleased I joined up and didn't let my lack of knowledge deter me. Thanks to all concerned but mostly Stephan for setting up the group.
